On this week’s episode of You Got This! we talk about the next wave of fun 2022 has in store for us: spiders raining from the sky, on the East Coast. We also talk about more budget friendly DIY projects you can do around your home to energize and improve your home spaces.
Our hands down favorite was the creative way of dealing with an older or ugly ceiling fan. A coat of spray paint gives your ceiling fan a whole new look, and adds to the ambience of your room, rather than distract from it. Other things covered include stenciling your ceramic tiles, though special paint considerations might make that a less budget friendly project. You’d also want to seal the tiles after painting them, especially if done in high-traffic areas of your home. And probably the most “healthy” project that is worth doing is removing that popcorn ceiling. If your home does have popcorn ceilings, remember there may be asbestos and lead involved, so removal means taking health precautions, not limited to a mask and gloves.
