There are two things many houses/apartments/living spaces have in common: insulation and air filters. But another thing they have in common is how much money they can save you. This week, Rosalie and Andrew discuss the importance of insulation and checking your air filters for pet hair.
Many houses/apartments/living spaces have heating and A/C units, but these can cost more money in the long run if the building itself isn’t insulated, or insulated properly. The insulation will keep the warm air inside in cool weather and the cold air inside in warm weather, thus preventing you from using the HVAC system as frequently and saving you money.

Another way to save money is to check your air filters frequently; check especially for pet hair. As Rosalie explained, when pet hair/dander is stuck on the filter, it’ll stop the unit from being able to properly filter clean air back into the house. The pet dander will then get into the air and can irritate your eyes, causing foreign-substance-caused conjunctivitis, or pink eye.
