Did you know there are simple things around the house that you can do to save you money, and even detect gas leaks? This week Rosalie and Andrew go over air filters and why you should change them, and how dish soap is effective in finding gas leaks.
So why should you be the one to change your air filters? Well, for one thing, it’s not that difficult to do so. For another, leaving the filters unchanged will eventually lead to the unit breaking, which will cost more money to fix. In order for your air conditioning system to deliver clean air back through your house, the air filters trap pet hair, dust, and other particles. When the filter catches so much dust and debris that air can’t be filtered properly, it leads to high energy bills, health concerns, and a system failure.

So what’s another easy trick around the house to help you save money? Checking for your own gas leaks, and believe it or not, dish soap will do just that. All you’ll need to do is add ½ cup of water and ½ cup of dish soap into a spray bottle, then spray a good amount of the soapy water on the gas connections in your house. If the connections blow bubbles, there’s a leak.
That’s all for this week! To see more tips and tricks like these around your house, tune in next week, and remember: You Got This!
