Every home has a water heater, and you can expect yours has a shelf-life. Depending on the size and the brand, and how you take care of it, you can expect maintenance to extend the life of your water heater. On this week’s episode, Andrew discusses:
- We have to wait forever for hot water at our kitchen sink. Should I install another water heater under the sink?
- I can’t fill my Jacuzzi bathtub with hot water, what should I do?
- Will I save money by installing a tankless water heater?
- We run out of hot water in our shower. Should we install a bigger water heater?
- Should I flush my water heater of sediments?
When you are considering upgrading from a traditional water heater to a tankless, consider the reasons you may want to upgrade. If you believe that it will give you instant hot water, it won’t. If you want it because you won’t run out of hot water, then you’re talking. We’d love to say you’ll save a bunch of money on your energy bills, but in reality, you probably won’t see enough savings to justify the cost. That doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it. It’s more of a lifestyle choice.
