Most people may consider turning off the main water valve but for extra peace of mind, you may want to consider shutting off  the individual water valves to the washing machine, dishwasher, and icemaker. And while you’re behind the refrigerator, you might want to upgrade that weak plastic tubing from the icemaker with something more solid, and less likely to crack or break. Those leaks can be tricky because they often go unseen and slowly leak water down behind cabinets, next to your walls, or into your floors.
